The Carteret First Aid Squad is committed to provide the best
possible pre-hospital (EMS) care to the residents and neighbors
of the Borough of Carteret. The squad is an independent
non-profit 501(3)C organization and provides EMS response, care
and transport between the hours of 6:00pm and 6:00am daily and
responds to an average of 1,200 emergencies annually. In
addition to providing emergency response, the Carteret First Aid
Squad provides standby coverage at many local events.
Recent Announcements
Due to liability and potential health issues associated with the
use of used medical equipment, the Carteret First Aid Squad will
no longer accept or lend out these items. For anyone in need of
wheelchairs, crutches, or walkers, we recommend your local
medical supply store such as
Woodbridge Medical
Supply. Medical Supply stores may have equipment to lend
from which should be properly maintained and inspected. If
anyone has used equipment to donate, we recommend
Medical Angels
who will happily collect your used equipment and ship them
around the world to those in need. Most recently,
Medical Angels
has shipped tons of equipment to Haiti to assist the injured and
the disabled.
